A penthouse at the Trump Group’s Mansions at Acqualina development in Sunny Isles hit the market today asking $55 million, according to data provided by Condo Vultures. The asking price makes the 15,000-square-foot duplex unit the second most expensive listing in Miami, after the $100 million Casa Casuarina estate. However, the Casa Casuarina property is unlikely to sell as a single-family residence, brokers familiar with the property said.

The amenity-laden six-bedroom, eight-bathroom unit is furnished by Fendi Casa and includes a 5,000-square-foot terrace. The apartment also features a theater, private elevator, wine room, billiard room, an indoor pool and a “sky garden” with 30-foot ceilings, a waterfall, a live green wall and a cantilever glass pool overlooking the ocean.

Mansions at Acqualina is a 47-story waterfront condo project, located at 17749 Collins Avenue, owned by the developer’s Eddie and Jules Trump. It contains 79 luxury condos — all fully furnished by Fendi Casa — of which 42 have sold in the first six months, totaling $200 million in sales. If the penthouse sells at ask, it would be the largest residential transaction in Miami-Dade county’s history, displacing the $47 million dollar deal at 3 Indian Creek Drive brokered by Douglas Elliman’s Oren Alexander.

Michael Goldstein, who is listed as the president of Mansions at Acqualina by the company’s website, is handling the listing and did not return calls for comment in time for publication.
