Doug and Terry Chandler of Carlsbad, N.M. are the buyers. They did not obtain financing for the purchase.

Before launching Davie-based Southern Waste, Lomangino oversaw the formation and growth of New York-based Star Recycling, which was eventually sold to industry giant Waste Management. He paid $1.6 million for the one-acre Old Palm property in December 2006 and constructed a nearly 15,000-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion. — Eric Kalis
