A Coral Gables mansion has been listed for $67 million, marking the second-most expensive home in Miami-Dade.

The 20,862-square-foot estate, at 1 Casuarina Concourse in Gables Estates, sits on a 3.6-acre lot that juts into Biscayne Bay. It is being listed by Coldwell Banker’s Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg of The Jills.

Miami-Dade property records show auto magnate Alan Potamkin as the owner. He bought the property in 1987 for $2 million and began constructing the mansion.

Hertzberg said Potamkin helped design the home, which has a 937 feet of water frontage and a private beach. Potamkin, who also has a residence in Aspen, lives in the Coral Gables mansion with Brigitt Rok, a psychologist who is Miami real estate investor Sergio Rok’s ex-wife. Potamkin is now moving onto the next phase of his life as an empty nester. “It’s a change of lifestyle,” Hertzberg said.

Built in 2000, the home’s three levels include a main floor with both a chef’s and separate family kitchen, a formal dining room with a 1,500-bottle wine room, a family room, corporate office with private bath, “a his office/den and hers office/library,” children’s playroom, three powder rooms and a guest bedroom and bath, according to the listing. Additional amenities include an elevator, three fireplaces, two built-in saltwater aquariums and an aviary.

“This is a property that is just incomparable,” Eber said. “It just has everything. There is everything anyone could ever dream about. You’ve got the prestigious location, on 3.6 acres, on a peninsula.”

The second-floor master suite features a fireplace, his-and-hers walk-in closets and a private balcony. Three additional bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and a gallery room also occupy that level.

The lower level contains a large game/billiard room with kitchenette, full gym, boxing room, massage room, two-bedroom nanny’s quarters, staff room and break room with kitchen, and an attached guest apartment with master bedroom, guest bedroom, office, kitchen, laundry area and separate entrance.

The mansion’s grounds include a koi pond, lighted tennis/basketball court and a cabana with mini-kitchen, full bath and storage closet that could be converted to guest quarters. A heated pool and spa overlook the bay, and the 100-foot-long dock can accommodate boats up to 130 feet long.

“Even his closet has a view of the bay,” Hertzberg said.

According to Realtor.com, the most expensive home currently on the market in Miami-Dade is a 9,854-square-foot, eight bedroom, six-bathroom and three-half-bath estate on Star Island in Miami Beach. It is listed for $75 million.
