Jugofresh, a Miami-based juice, smoothie and vegan foods brand, is opening a store within a store at Whole Foods Market – Fort Lauderdale, CEO Matt Sherman announced on Thursday.

Jugofresh has six freestanding locations and one other partnership with Whole Foods in downtown Miami, which opened in January.

“Whole Foods Market partnership with jugofresh represents the ongoing work we do to support our local suppliers in the marketplace,” Juan Nunez, Whole Foods Market Florida regional president, said in a statement. “We’re excited that we’ll offer our Fort Lauderdale-area customers a high-quality lifestyle product that is aligned with our core values.”

The jugofresh shop in Broward will open next Friday, Aug. 28.

Jugofresh has seven locations in South Florida: North Miami Beach, Sunset Harbour, South Pointe, Wynwood, South Miami, Coral Gables and inside the Whole Foods in downtown Miami. The company also opened a pop-up restaurant earlier this month at its 2,000-square-foot South Pointe location in Miami Beach.

Last month, TRD reported that Sherman sold the Biscayne Boulevard site in MiMo that he had planned to redevelop for a new shop. He sold the building, at 7501 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, for $1.4 million to local developer Alexander Karakhanian. — Katherine Kallergis
