The Manhattan property sales market continued to flourish in 2014, and the year marked one of the most successful in New York City’s history. The borough saw 974 property sales in 2014, a 21 percent increase from 2013. The fourth quarter ended strong with $10.4 billion in total dollar volume sales, a 6 percent increase from the third quarter. Dollar volume for the year totaled $40.7 billion, up 41 percent from 2013. Development sites accounted for 21 percent of all property types sold in the last quarter, totaling $1.3 billion. While offices accounted for only 9 percent of all properties sold in the final quarter, its dollar volume totaled $3.6 billion. View the full report online here.
