Castellan Real Estate Partners
Castellan Real Estate Partners, sometimes known as Castellan Holdings, is a New York City-based investment firm and landlord that owns buildings throughout the city. The firm, established in 2008, is controlled by two brothers, John and Paul Salib.
Castellan's property managers allegedly have a strategy of getting rent-stabilized, Spanish-speaking tenants to vacate their units by demanding proof of citizenship or income. The company's portfolio of buildings is concentrated in Harlem, Washington Heights, the South Bronx and Brooklyn.
