CB Developers is a New York City-based developer led by Charles Blaichman, who founded it in the 1980s. The firm spent most of its early years seeking development opportunities in the West Village, Meatpacking District, and SoHo, and has been instrumental in redeveloping along the High Line and in the Lower East Side. Today, CB Developers has a number of boutique hotels and condominiums in its portfolio, including 173/176 Perry Street, the Urban Glass House condos on Spring Street, and hotel Soho House, among the first in the Meatpacking District to herald the redevelopment along the High Line. CB Developers also has focused recently on various East Side locales, purchasing property from the African kingdom of Lesotho in 2014. It also is building a ground-up mixed-use development in Murray Hill (purchasing the land for $25 million) and a residential building in Kips Bay, for which it paid $69 million in 2013.
