    The Clarett Group was a New York City-based real estate developer, co-founded by Veronica Hackett and Neil Klarfeld in 2000, and acquired by Toronto-based Brookfield Property Partners in 2011. The global credit squeeze forestalled the developer from moving forward on new projects, prompting Hackett to sell out. Her co-founder Klarfeld had died in 2004. Claretts Washington DC and Los Angeles offices spun themselves off and did not fold into Brookfield. The Clarett Groups portfolio of projects included 7-story condominium the Collection at 340 Court Street in Carroll Gardens, the 490-unit Brooklyner high-rise at 111 Lawrence Street, 200 West End at 79th Street, 2770 Broadway at 107th Street, and Sky House at 11 East 29th Street.
