Costas Kondylis and Partners is an architecture and planning firm. Founded in 1989 by its eponymous owner, Constantine, who is considered one of the most prolific architects in New York City, the firm for years was the preferred firm of Donald Trump. The list of the roughly 70 high-rise buildings the firm designed in whole or in part is extensive, ranging from the Anthem apartment building in Murray Hill to the Ludlow in the Lower East Side and Trump International Hotel and Tower. The firm was dissolved in 2010 but relaunched under Costas Kondylis Design soon after, aspiring to projects designed to meet LEED certification. The firm was also the subject of a documentary produced by The Real Deal and made in collaboration with New York PBS affiliate Thirteen called Treasures of New York: Building Stories. The documentary explores the owners tug of war between artistry and economy, and looks at the difficult process of developing new building in New York City.
