The Dermot Company is a New York City-based real estate investment firm with $2 billion in assets under management and under development. William Dickey founded Dermot in 1991 and the company specializes in residential rental apartment towers. In July 2015, Forum Partners, a London-based rival and Dermots executives acquired a 50 percent stake in Dermot, and direct stakes in 4 Dermot developments in a management-led buy-out of company founder Dickey. Stephen N. Benjamin, who had served and chief operating officer, replaced Dickey as chief executive. MK
