FLAnk is an architectural and real estate development firm founded in 2002 by Jon Kully and Mick Walsdorf. The firm was created with the idea of combining design, development, marketing, and sales. With only about a dozen employees, half of whom are trained architects, FLAnk has taken on projects very selectively and with a holistic design-to-marketing objective. Most of its projects have been boutique condo projects or mixed-use buildings in Manhattan and Brooklyn, including condos on 224 Mulberry Street (which it built on the site of a four-story parking garage) and the 2012 conversion of 200 units to just 10 units at the Abingdon at 320 West 12th Street. The firm broke TK sales records in 2015 when it launched sales at its Boerum condominium building in Boerum Hill, its first foray into the borough. FLAnk, which designed its own 60,000-square-foot office building on West 27th Street, has also taken on projects recently in Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina.
