Glenwood Management is a New York City-based developer, owner, and manager of upscale rental apartment buildings. Leonard Litwin founded the privately held firm in 1961. Glenwood owns about two dozen residential buildings in New York City, all in Manhattan. The firm's buildings include the 36-unit Barclay Tower at 10 Barclay Street in Tribeca, the 466-unit Paramount Tower at 240 East 39th Street and the 250-unit Bamford at 333 East 56th Street. The firm develops new buildings periodically under the direction of Litwin's daughter Carole Pittelman. In 2015, Glenwood Management was embroiled in a political scandal: It was alleged that in exchange for political donations, or kickbacks, Glenwood had extensive access to politicians, who rewrote rental laws in favor of companies such as Glenwood and granted the firm tax breaks.
