Halstead Property is a residential real estate brokerage firm in New York City. It was founded in 1984 by Clark Halstead, chairman emeritus, and Diane Ramirez, its current president. Terra Holdings, a New York-based real estate development and management holding company, acquired the firm in 2001. Terra Holdings also owns brokerage Brown Harris Stevens and Vanderbilt Holdings, a financial services firm that brokers residential mortgages. Many Halstead brokers specialize in the high-end properties located along Central Park West and Fifth Avenue. However, the firm has been buying up boutique competitors in recent years and opened an office in Brooklyns Bedford-Stuyvesant. -TA
