Himmel + Meringoff Properties is a privately held real estate company focused on investments in Manhattan commercial properties. In three decades of operation, as of early 2015 the company had acquired, redeveloped and repositioned more than 50 office and retail properties, with a total of more than 5 million square feet. Affiliate Meringoff Properties, Inc. is a vertically integrated owner-manager. Notable recent deals include a lease to shared office-space provider WeWork of all 180,000 square feet of office space at 1460 Broadway, where Himmel + Meringoff and co-owner Swig Company announced a $25 million renovation project. The 19-year WeWork lease was announced in early 2015; rents in the building range from the high $50s to the mid-$60s.
