Invesco Real Estate (IRE) is a subsidiary of Atlanta-based asset management firm Invesco Ltd. The parent company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol IVZ. Dallas-based IRE was established in 1983 and as of 2016, had $50 billion in real estate assets under management. It invests in real estate directly, as well as in real estate equity and debt securities, infrastructure securities, and master limited partnerships (MLPs). Since 2011, Invesco Real Estate has gone from owning zero property in New York City to participating in deals worth over $2 billion. Its acquisitions include a majority stake in the retail condominium of the former Knickerbocker Hotel, The Madison Belvedere at 10 East 29th Street, a Soho retail property at 512 Broadway, and the Elektra at 290 Third Avenue. IRE also partnered with the Kaufman Organization to purchase the 17-story, 270,000-square-foot office tower at 100-104 Fifth Avenue for $93.5 million. MK
