Iron Hound Management is a real estate investment company specializing in commercial debt and equity transactions. Founded in 2009 by Robert Verrone, the firm has completed more than $10 billion in transactions. Iron Hound, which also offers commercial real estate advisory services, markets itself as being able to find alternate sources of funding in tight markets. In 2013, after expanding its brokerage operations to include loan debt and equity placement, Iron Hound completed the restructuring of nearly $10 million in mezzanine debt on a Class-A trophy property in Louisville, Kentucky. That same year it also arranged more than $100 million in loan modifications for Starwood Capital on a property at West 46th Street, as well as $300 million securitized loan for LNRs Greenwood Heights industrial complex Bush Terminal. In 2015 Iron Hound partnered with BNY Mellon to provide financing for Aurora Capitals retail building at 600 Broadway in Soho, and it also brokered a $400 million deal with Bank of China and SL Green for a Sunset Park complex.
