Ivanhoé Cambridge, formerly known as SITQ, is a Montreal, Canada-based real estate investment fund than manages about $50 billion in assets. The name of the company is spelled with an accent, in both English and French, to underscore its francophone roots. Ivanhoé's portfolio includes shopping centers, office buildings, multi-family residential buildings, warehouses, hotels, and stakes in other real estate investment funds. In October 2015, the Canadian company agreed to acquire Stuyvesant Town housing complex in a fifty-fifty joint venture with Blackstone Group, with each firm investing $1.3 billion in equity. In October 2013, it partnered with Chicago-based Callahan Capital Partners to buy a stake in 1211 Sixth Avenue for $892 million. Ivanhoé Cambridge is a subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), which manages government pension plans and insurance programs in the Canadian province of Quebec. Caisse, which acquired Ivanhoé in 1990, represents the retirement interests of about 8 million Canadians. As of 2015, its chairman and chief executive was Daniel Fournier. MK
