L&L Holding is a real estate firm founded by Robert Lapidus and partner David Levinson in 2000. It owns numerous trophy properties, such as the 76-story Metropolitan Tower at 142 West 57th Street and 150 Fifth Avenue, a 200,000-square-foot office and retail building.

L&L is also developing a 650,000-square-foot office tower at 425 Park Avenue. The company paid $140 million in July to buy a 90 percent stake in the property from Lehman Brothers Holdings. Messrs. Levinson and Lapidus were together ranked 59th in the Commercial Observers 2014 Power 100.

The papers entry on the pair noted that they, presided over significant leasing activity in L&L Holding Companys portfolio in 2014. In January, the landlord inked a major new media tenant, Mashable, to a nearly 40,000-square-foot deal at the companys 114 Fifth Avenue property. A month later, L&L signed a larger deal at the same address when MasterCard elected to take 60,000 square feet there.

Earlier in 2014 the paper noted, L&L and its partners at Beacon Capital Group signed retailer Zara to a 30,000-square-foot lease at 222 Broadway. Meanwhile the same partnership divested a portion of its portfolio in 2013, selling the majority stake in 195 Broadway to institutional investors advised by JP Morgan. The sellers had acquired the building for $206 million in 2005 and though the value of the sale was not announced at the time, the New York Post reported it had risen to about half a billion dollars, the paper reported.
