Meadow Partners is a real estate investment firm founded in 2009 by Jeffrey Kaplan. In its first year, the firm closed its first fund closed for $200 million, and in 2013 Meadow Partners raised funds for a second fund. Meadow boasts acquisition and management of roughly $24 billion in real estate assets. The firm has been on a modest buying spree in New York City in recent years, snapping up its first Manhattan hotel in 2014, the Bedford Hotel at 118 East 40th Street. That same year Meadow Partners paid $50 million for a Comfort Inn hotel on 35th Street, then promptly Hotel 35 Herald Square. Its interest in Manhattan transferred into Brooklyn shortly thereafter. In 2016 the firm paid $42 million to convert a former Williamsburg pleating factory into an office building. That year Meadow was also part of a deal that was the priciest residential deal in the Greenpoint neighborhood, selling the Viridian rental property to World Wide Group for $103 million. Meadow also has been developing rental properties in Downtown Brooklyn.
