Mitsui Fudosan is the real estate investment subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Mitsui Group. In has been involved in New York City real estate going back to the 1970s, and has its headquarters in Manhattan.

The firms New York City holdings include the 2.4 million-square-foot 1251 Avenue of the Americas (site of its headquarters); 55 Hudson Street, a 1.3 million-square-foot office building; 527 Madison Avenue, a boutique office building of 240,000 square feet; and the 41-story rental building at 160 Madison Avenue, under construction as of summer 2015.

Mitsui Fudosan often buys and trades significant stakes in these and other holdings; and also controls properties in Washington, San Francisco and Hawaii.
