RWN Real Estate Partners is a real estate private equity firm run by managing partner Ari Shalam. The real estate arm of investment advisor RWN Management (which is, in turn, owned mainly by
Apollo Global Management co-founder Marc Rowan), RWN Real Estate is known as a middle-market investor. With little fanfare, the firm has made a flurry of real estate investments in recent years, most often by partnering with local development firms on a variety of property types throughout Manhattan. In 2012, RWN partnered with Silverstone Property Group to purchase a 128-unit apartment tower on East 28th Street, and a year later the two spent roughly $72 million to buy seven adjacent properties at 33rd Street and Third Avenue. In 2015, RWN teamed up with Dalan Management and purchased the ground lease on a Midtown residential building. It also joined with Caspi Development and looked farther downtown, buying a building on the Lower East Side to renovate as vintage-looking office lofts. The firm has roughly $200 million in capital under management.
