Savills Studley is the largest commercial real estate firm in New York City that focuses solely on tenant representation. It is a subsidiary of London-based Savills PLC. Its clients have included Time Warner, law firms Winston & Strawn, WilmerHale and Baker & McKenzie, the government of Canada, Tommy Hilfiger, Lord & Taylor and Tiffany & Co. These and other clients appreciate that the firm doesn't face the conflict of interest that arise when a broker advises a tenant on one deal and that same tenant's landlord on another deal. The firm started in 1954 as Julien J. Studley Inc. The founder and eight partners sold a controlling interest in the firm to several dozen managers and brokers in 2002, and the firm remained management-owned until 2014, when Savills acquired it, changing the company name to Savills Studley.
