Tribeca Associates is a privately held real estate development firm with more than $2 billion in real estate transactions under its belt. Founded in 2000, Tribeca Associates is perhaps best known for developing the Baccarat Hotel and Residence at 20 West 53rd Street, which it completed with Starwood Capital Group (the hotel was later sold to a Chinese investor for $230 million). The firm also has purchased or developed the Marriott Residence Inn near the World Trade Center and Necco Factory in Cambridge, Mass. In 2015 Tribeca Associates renovated the historic Bush Tower at 42nd Street, returning the 1918 buildings Gothic arches to its lower façade, and also had plans for a 26-story hotel at 143 Fulton Street in the financial district. In early 2016 the firm acquired the 47-story office tower at 30 Broad Street for $130 million, taking out a $96-million loan from M&T Bank for the deal.
