    Vornado Realty Trust is a New York City-based real estate investment trust (REIT) with a portfolio of commercial buildings concentrated in New York and Washington, D.C. Vornado is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol VNO. Steven Roth founded it based on real estate holdings in Two Guys, a fan manufacturer and discount store chain, and Alexander's, a struggling retailer that owned some valuable Manhattan real estate -- a store covering the entire block between East 58th and 59th Streets and Lexington and Third Avenues. The company acquired a series of Manhattan skyscrapers in the early 1990s, including One Penn Plaza. Its portfolio now includes 731 Lexington Avenue, also known as the Bloomberg Tower.
