Weil, Gotshal & Manges is a New York City-based international law firm. Founded in 1931 by Frank Weil, Sylvan Gotshal and Horace Manges, the firm today operates out of 21 offices on three continents. The firm employs approximately 1,200 attorneys. Weil has racked up a number of marquee representations, such as the well publicized bankruptcies of Lehman Brothers and General Motors, and General Electrics $35 billion joint venture acquisition of NBC Universal with Comcast.

Weils real estate practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, REITs, joint ventures, and other areas of real estate law. The firm represented Lehman Brothers in the resolution of its real estate portfolio, General Growth Properties in an $8.5 billion recapitalization of subsidiary Rouse properties, and Trump Entertainment Resorts, Extended Stay Hotels, Goldman Sachs, Tishman Speyer, Beacon Capital and other major firms on a variety of real estate transactions.
