Andrew Mathias is the president of SL Green Realty Corporation, one of the largest real estate investment trusts (REIT) and commercial landlords in New York. Mathias joined the firm as a vice president in 1999 at the age of 25. His jobs prior to joining SL Green include positions at Capital Trust, Victor Capital Group, and Bear Stearns, where he worked at the high yield and restructuring desk. Mathias worked at Capital Trust with current SL Green CEO Marc Holiday, who moved to Green just six months before Mathias in coordination with SL Greens initial public offering.

SL Green credits Mathias as one of the main forces behind the companys major push for growth over the last decade and a half, expanding to 52 million square feet of assets in the New York region. SL Green made Mathias chief investment officer in 2004 and later made him president of the board of directors in 2014.

Mathias is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvanias Wharton School of Business.
