    Chaim Miller, whose legal name is Harry, is a real estate developer and landlord in New York City. As of 2015 and following his acquisition of Beekman Tower at 3 Mitchell Place, Miller's New York portfolio consists of over 1 million square feet of space. The developer lives in Borough Park, Brooklyn, and is a member of the Hasidic Jewish community in that neighborhood. It is believed that he got his start in real estate in the 1980s, working for developer Abraham Leser's namesake investment vehicle, Leser Group. Miller's acquisitions have included the 84-unit residential building 45 John Street in Lower Manhattan and 29 Ryerson Street in Clinton Hill. Miller was also part of a group that purchased 90-02 Queens Boulevard, the former St. John's Hospital in Elmhurst, and is converting it to apartments. The investor has been both target and initiator of multiple lawsuits over botched deals. He sometimes acquires buildings in joint ventures with Samuel Sprei.
