Constantine M. Dakolias is the managing director and co-chief investment officer of the Credit Funds at Fortress Investment Group LLC, a New York Stock Exchange-listed investment management firm. Dakolias, who goes by Dean, joined Fortress in August 2001. His division, called Fortress Credit, specializes in special asset investing, meaning it extends high-interest loans to those with difficulties getting financing at a bank or elsewhere, in exchange for collateral assets like real estate or intellectual property.

Fortress provided pop singer Michael Jackson with a mortgage on his Neverland Ranch. Before joining Fortress, Dakolias was a co-founder of American Commercial Capital LLC and Coronado Advisors. Wells Fargo Bank acquired the two firms in 2001. Earlier, he was a director at RER Financial Group, where he was responsible for the firm's acquisition efforts and was a provider of third party due diligence and asset management. Dakolias sits on the board of trustees of The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York. He received a BS in physics from Columbia University.  -MK
