Ephram Lustgarten is head of investments for real estate private equity at Global Holdings Management, formerly known as Eastgate Realty, where he has worked since 2013. There, he helps manage the acquisitions and financial side of its property portfolio, which consists of more than 5 million square feet of Class A Office Buildings in Manhattan and a residential development portfolio. Lustgarten began his professional career as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company, then move onto the private equity side of consulting, working for two years at KPMG before going back to school. After graduating with his MBA, Lustgarten remained in finance, but on the real estate side, working for Credit Suisse on large loan lending, where he closed more than $3 billion in commercial real estate transactions. He then spent five years at Greenwich, Conn.-based investment firm Starwood Capital Group, serving as a vice president of real estate private equity. Lustgarten graduated from Yale University with degrees in ethics, politics, and economics. He received his MBA, with a focus on real estate and finance, from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
