    Eugene M. Grant

    Eugene M. Grant & Co.
    New York, NY
    1109 Fifth Avenue

Eugene M. Grant heads an eponymously named real estate investment and development firm in New York City.

Grant and his firm are best known in real estate circles for long holding on to a controlling stake in the 1.3 million-square-foot St. Johns Terminal Building at 550 Washington Street in Soho. He sold that control in early 2013 for roughly $250 million.

The company dates from the early 1940s, when a twenty-something Grant began investing in New York real estate.

Born in 1919, he graduated from the University of Michigan and earned a law degree at Columbia.
