    Jeffrey S. Katz

    Sherwood Equities
    745 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1707
    New York, NY 10151

Sherwood Equities CEO Jeffrey Katz has made plenty of mistakes in his 30-plus years in the real estate industry, including trying to unload pricey Greenwich Village properties during the real estate recession of the early 1980s. On the other end of the spectrum was his decision to invest in Times Square when it was a seedy dump, which is why today he owns some of the most recognizable properties in Manhattan. His firm owns more than $3 billion in properties, including both One and Two Times Square, where the New Year’s ball drops, as well as the Coronado, Saratoga, and 330 West End Avenue. Katz is not wedded entirely to midtown, however, as his firm has made significant inroads on Long Island, the Flatiron District, and along the High Line nearly Chelsea. Katz has a business degree from the Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a board member of the Times Square Alliance.
