Jeffrey Sussman is in charge of all leasing, building management and operations at Edward J. Minskoff Equities, a privately held real estate investment and development firm that owns and manages almost six million square feet of office, retail and residential space.

Most of its portfolio is in Manhattan and the most prominent piece of that portfolio is perhaps 51 Astor Place, a 13-story, 430,000-square-foot building comprising an entire block between Third and Fourth avenues. Minskoff finished building the glassy complex in early 2013, and leased it up two years later. Sussman was heavily involved in the development and leasing of 51 Astor.

Other major projects he has done a lot of work on include the leasing up of the retail at 270 Greenwich Street, the redevelopment of 101 Avenue of the Americas, and the marketing of the apartments at 89 Murray Street.

Sussman briefly left Minskoff for a similar role at Taconic Investment Partners. He has also held positions at Brickman Associates, Peter R. Friedman and Olympia & York, the development and ownership firm where Edward Minskoff was CEO before starting his eponymous concern in 1987.

Sussman earned political science and urban studies degrees from Stanford and a masters in city and regional planning from Harvard. -TA
