Justin Elghanayan is the president of Rockrose Development, a real estate development and management company in New York. Elghanayan became president of the firm in 2012 at the age of 34. His father is Rockrose CEO, H. Henry Elghanayan. Over the last 40 years, Rockrose has acquired, built or repositioned 3.3 million square feet of office space, 1 million square feet of retail space, and more than 11,000 residential units in New York and Washington, D.C. with a total approximate value of over $6 billion.
Prior to a career in real estate, Elghanayan taught public high school for two years in Manhattan, which he described as the hardest thing Ive ever done. He became president of Rockrose following the 2009 split between his father and co-founding uncles K. Thomas (then president), Frederick Elghanayan, and their sons. Its speculated that Justins pending promotion in part lead to the split. As much as I love my cousins, Justin said at the time, this is going to be too many personalities too many cooks are going to be in that kitchen.
Elghanayan is a graduate of Princeton University, where he achieved a degree in English Literature.
