Keith Gelb is a founding managing member of Rockpoint Group, a Boston-based real estate private equity fund that has done deals with total capitalization of about $27 billion since its founding in 2003. Gelb is responsible for overall operations and management and oversees the origination, structuring and asset management of all investments. Together with fellow Managing Member Tom Gilbane, Gelb is regularly named to Commercial Observers Power 100 listing of the most powerful people in New York real estate.

Rockpoint's funds have raised a total of more than $25 billion in capital commitments to invest in 426 transactions with a total peak capitalization of approximately $64 billion (inclusive of fund equity, co-investor equity and debt).

In 2020 Rockpoint agreed to pay a $5 million settlement to as many as 4,800 current and former tenants in two buildings in Manhattan's Financial District to settle a lawsuit related to the 421-g tax-break program.

Also in 2020, Rockpoint announced a $1 billion joint venture with Invitation Homes to focus on buying and renovating rental homes across the U.S.

Gelb is also a managing member of Westbrook Real Estate Partners. Rockpoint was founded by five of Westbrook's six managing members. Before joining Westbrook in 1994, Gelb spent two years in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. He holds a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School.
