Marc Frankel is a senior managing director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, one of New York Citys leading commercial real estate services firms. He works out of its 125 Park Avenue headquarters, and specializes in deals in the retail and restaurant world, particularly site selection and market-entry strategy.

As such, he has headed up both national and regional development for brands such as McDonalds, Chipotle, California Pizza Kitchen, Marriott and Rite Aid. His landlord clients have included Trinity Church, Sylvan Lawrence and Prudential Equities.

Frankel started his real estate career as head of new-unit development and portfolio management for McDonalds Northeast portfolio, which put him in charge of more than 800 properties in five states. He I a graduate in legal studies of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
