Michael Azarian a the director of leasing at Cushman and Wakefield following it 2015 acquisition of Massey Knakal Realty Services, the biggest investment-sales brokerage in New York City in number of deals.

Azarian specializes in leasing deals within the Manhattan neighborhoods of the Flatiron, Gramercy Park and Murray Hill. He took on his current role in 2012, and, since then, the division has become one of the busiest in the city. Massey Knakal was the No. 3 retail leasing firm by total number of transactions in 2013, according to TRD.

Azarian originally joined the firm in 2007 to do sales, however, eventually becoming Massey Knakals sales director in 2011. He has brokered more than 110 transactions worth approximately $1.1 billion., including the trade of the 11-building Bowery portfolio.

Azarian earned a psychology degree from Boston University, where he worked part-time as an residential rental broker, and resides in Manhattan. TA
