Michael D. Cohen

Executive Vice President
Trump Organization
725 Fifth Avenue, 26th Floor,
New York, NY 10022

As Donald Trump's special counsel, Michael Cohen is known by many as Trump's pit bull. Cohen joined the real estate mogul's empire in 2006 after serving for years as a private attorney and later a partner at law firm Phillips Nizer. He has defended Trump in various legal matters, including the New York attorney general's investigation into Trump University in 2013.

Cohen has also been one of Trump's right-hand men in politics. When Trump decided to run for president in 2012, Cohen was the one tasked with testing the waters for the bid, and was accused of bending (if not breaking) campaign finance laws by using Trump Organization offices before Trump set up an official exploratory committee. Cohen is no stranger to politics. In 2003 he made a failed bid for New York City Council on the GOP ticket, after which he switched back to being a Democrat. In 2010 he ran again (unsuccessfully) for office, this time for New York State Senate.

Cohen, who graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, also serves as co-president of Trump Entertainment, helped broker business deals in the former Soviet republic of Georgia and has even dipped his feet into Trump's golf courses. His growing influence in Trump Organization makes Cohen less a pit bull than a chameleon.
