    Michael Palladino

    Richard Meier & Partners Architect

    Michael Palladino is a Los Angeles-based architect and the principal in charge of design at Richard Meier & Partners. He joined the firm in 1979, was promoted to partner in 1985, and moved to Los Angeles in 1986 to open the firm’s west coast office. The portfolio of projects he has worked on includes The Getty Center, the Decorative Arts Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, the High Museum in Atlanta, the International Center for Possibility Thinking in Garden Grove, California, and the City Hall building in San Jose, California. Palladino has been responsible for the Museum of Television & Radio (Paley Center for Media) in Beverly Hills, the Gagosian Gallery and addition in Beverly Hills, the Broad Art Center at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Camden Medical Centre in Singapore, private residences in Kuala Lumpur, Malibu, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Santa Ynez, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara. He is a founding member of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Architecture & Design Council in Los Angeles. Palladino received the Rome Prize for 2000-2001 and the 2005 Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles. He was made a fellow of the AIA in 2008. Palladino received a master of architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 1979 and a bachelor of architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1977. He is a registered architect in California, New York, and Pennsylvania. –MK
