Neil C. Helman is a noted investment sales broker, having previously worked as an Executive Vice-President at Grubb & Ellis before the firm filed for bankruptcy and was acquired by BGC Partners. Helman joined Avison in 2012 as one of many brokers the Canadian-based firm snapped-up in the wake of the Grubb acquisition.

Helman helped with marketing for the redevelopment of a 77,000-square-foot Upper West Side parking garage into potential condominiums, sold for $63 million. In 2013, he helped list the United Cerebral Palsy property, which sold for $150 million.

While at Grubb & Ellis, Helman represented the buyer and seller at 93 Worth Street to Izaki Group Investments, sold at $49.7 million. He also represented Real Estate Equities Corp. in selling 344-346 W. 14th St, a 22,000-square-foot apartment building in the Meatpacking district for $23.25 million. Other notable transactions include broking the $83.1 million bankruptcy-related sale of the Cabrini Medical Center in 2010 and 555 Sixth Avenue for $67.34 million.
