Two years after graduating law school in 1980, Richard Ruben formed real estate development firm Ruben Companies. The firm went on to own several high-profile properties, including 600 Madison Avenue, One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, and One Exeter Plaza in Boston.
Under Ruben's leadership, his firm has grown to a stable of five core businesses that focus on other aspects of the business, including a private equity wing and an online workflow application used by more than 500 million square feet of commercial office space. In 2010 Ruben also founded skedge.me, a cloud-based and customizable scheduling and marketing application that claims to be able to trim the fat off company scheduling processes.
Ruben, who graduated with a law degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelors degree from Amherst College, sits on the Lincoln Center Real Estate and Construction Council and is a trustee of youth advocacy organization Prep for Prep.
