Robert A.M. Stern, born in 1939, is the dean of the Yale School of Architecture in New Haven, Connecticut, as well as a working architect and writer. The Brooklyn native designs upscale high-rise residential condominiums in New York City. His portfolio of projects includes the $950 million, 202-unit 15 Central Park West, developed by William and Arthur Lie Zeckendorf and completed in 2008. His eponymous firm, Robert A. M. Stern Architects, often referred to as RAMSA, has also designed the Tribeca Park at 400 Chambers Street, the Brompton at 205 East 85th Street, and Superior Ink at 400 West 12th Street, all since 1999 and all for the Related Companies, another New York developer. Stern has written extensively on architecture, landscape design, and preservation. He received a BA from Columbia University in 1960 and an MA in architecture from Yale University in 1965. TA
