Ross Jacobs is a partner at redevelopment-focused property owner Cogswell Realty and is one of the more recognizable experts on one of the firms favorite neighborhoods: Harlem. Jacobs was instrumental in Cogswells 1998 purchase of an office building in 1998, at 55 West 125th Street, its first. Two years later, he helped company purchase 215 West 125th Street.
In that role, Jacobs was involved in Cogswells dealings with one of the neighborhoods most famous tenants, former president Bill Clinton, who had set up shop in the top floor of 55 West 125th Street during the nascent stages of the Harlem renaissance. Jacobs also represented Cogswell in its 2010 renewal of a 10-year lease with the city Workers Compensation Board, which has its offices at 215 West 125th Street.
Jacobs has appeared on the Stoler Report to talk about the changes to the Harlem neighborhood, and is on the executive board of the 125th Street Business Improvement District. -NR
