Scott Panzer is the founder of ETRE Financial, LLC and a vice chairman at JLL, a commercial real estate services and investment management firm. He specializes in tenant representation, agency leasing and consulting. Before he joined JLL in 2009, Panzer was with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (but left for JLL citing philosophical differences) and Maxwell Communication Corporation.

In 2008, Panzer and a Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team represented AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company in the renewal of their 418,399-square-foot lease in the AXA Financial Center at 1290 Sixth Avenue. He and another NGFK group represented the United Nations in a 407,666-square-foot move to 380 Madison Avenue. In 2011 Panzer brokered NBCs 10-year lease agreement on 1.4 million-square-feet at Rockefeller Center. In 2012, he represented Dreyfus Service Corporation in their renewal of 349,311-square-feet in the MetLife Building.

In an interview with the Commercial Observer, Panzer stated that he sometimes wears cowboy boots when he does deals in Dallas.

Brokers say the lack of big tenants can be attributed to belt-tightening, more efficient (and therefore smaller) office spaces as well as many tenants getting leases locked in over the past few years for fear of missing an affordable rental window.
