    Sean McSweeney

    Senior Vice President of Acquisitions
    Mitsui Fudosan
    1251 Avenue of the Americas
    New York, NY 10020

Sean McSweeney oversees the U.S. investment strategy, including new acquisitions, for Mitsui Fudosan, the real estate investment subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Mitsui Group.

The firms New York City holdings include the 2.4 million-square-foot 1251 Avenue of the Americas (site of its headquarters); 55 Hudson Street, a 1.3 million-square-foot office building; 527 Madison Avenue, a boutique office building of 240,000 square feet; and the 41-story rental building at 160 Madison Avenue, under construction as of summer 2015. Mitsui Fudosan often buys and trades significant stakes in these and other holdings; and also controls properties in Washington, San Francisco and Hawaii.

In addition to scoping out new investment opportunities, McSweeney also arranges financing for asset deals and oversees the due diligence on them. His experience comes primarily from working various acquisition, finance and asset-management roles at Mitsui Fudosan prior to his present position.

McSweeney earned an accounting degree from Notre Dame in 1996, and worked in the financial reporting group of a real estate syndication company before joining Mitsui Fudosan in 2001. -TA
