    Shay Alster is an architect and a principal at GF55 Partners, a New York City-based architecture firm. He joined the firm as a project architect and manager in 1998 and was made partner in 2006. The New York State Association For Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH) awarded Alsters work the title of Project of the Year in 2006 and 2009. His most contemporary projects include Chelsea Park, 23-story One Morningside Park, and the Harlem River Point development for the New Housing Marketplace Plan (NHMP) and The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). From 1996 to 1998, he worked as a designer and project architect at Kupiec & Koutsomitis Architects, including on the redevelopment of Time Square, and at RKK&G / The Museum Group. Alster is a member of the housing committee at the American Institute of Architects, NY Chapter, and NYSAFAH. In 2010, he received the Andrew J. Thomas Award - Pioneer in Housing. He received a B.Arch degree from Pratt Institute, School of Architecture in 1996. He received a certificate in real estate investment and finance from New York University (NYU) in 2010 and studied design at the Center of Technology Education in Holon, Israel. He was a captain in the Israeli Air Force and graduated from the Israeli Air Force Electronic Warfare Academy in 1988. Alster is a registered architect in New York and Florida. MK
