    Terri Adler is a lawyer and the chairwoman of the real estate practice group at New York City-based law firm Duval & Stachenfeld. In 2014, industry rating service Superlawyers named Adler to its list of top 50 Women Attorneys in the New York metropolitan area. Adler’s areas of expertise in real estate law includes acquisitions, development, dispositions, financings, subdivisions, ground leasing, distress situations, workouts, and the structuring and negotiating of complicated joint-ventures. Her clients have included Angelo, Gordon & Co., Young, Woo & Associates, and NorthStar Realty Finance. Before joining Duval & Stachenfeld at its founding in 1997, Adler worked at Shapiro, Shapses, Block & Stachenfeld. Adler received a JD from New York Law School in 1996 and was the articles editor of the school’s Journal of Human Rights. At the New York Law School, she attended evening classes and worked during the day to support herself. She received a BA from the University of Utah in 1991. Adler grew up in a suburb of Salt Lake City and now lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, Daniel Goldstein, and their son and daughter. Goldstein is a stay-at-home dad. –MK
