Tommy Craig is a senior vice president of Hines, in charge of the developers New York region. The company, which is based in Houston, owns or manages several buildings in Manhattan, including 1585 Broadway, 383 Madison and 450 Lexington.
In 2011 Craig told the New York Times, my principal role is to think about value-creation opportunities, to manage risk, and to really advance the firms reputation in New York. At that time he said the firm had, close to 30 million square feet (in New York); we own about half. We may have assets that we developed as owners and subsequently sold.
In 2015, Frank McCourts MG Properties brought in Hines as an equity and development partner on 360 10th Avenue, a $3 billion, 733,000-square-foot mixed-use project on the Far West Side. Hines executive Tommy Craig said that the firm welcomed the opportunity to expand our development work into the heart of Manhattans fastest growing new neighborhood.
