    Wendy Silverstein

    Chief Executive Officer
    Winthrop REIT Advisors
    New York, NY

Wendy Silverstein is a real estate executive, based in New York. In December 2016, the board of the struggling New York REIT selected Winthrop REIT Advisors, which Silverstein leads, as its external manager to oversee the company’s liquidation plan.
Until early 2015, Silverstein was an executive vice president and co-head of acquisitions and capital markets at Vornado Realty Trust, responsible for all of the trust's equity, debt and derivative transactions. She was a member of the investment committee of the trust's private equity fund, Vornado Capital Partners. Silverstein was appointed head of capital markets in 1998 after spending 12 years at Citicorp, where she worked with the leveraged capital group and in the corporate debt restructuring group of Citicorp Real Estate.

Silverstein served on the board of directors of Toys R Us; her previous board memberships include LNR Property, the nation's largest loan special servicer, and Shuttle, Inc. (which operated US Air Shuttle).

Silverstein earned a B.S. in economics and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified public accountant.
