The 20-story, 242-foot commercial and apartment tower known as 1 LeFrak City Plaza is perhaps best-known for housing the medical division of the New York Police Department.

Beyond that, the Corona, Queens, tower at 59-17 Junction Boulevard is known as a piece of the much larger LeFrak City. LeFrak City was originally built as middle-class, market-rate housing and has largely remained so.

One LeFrak City Plaza was completed in 1970, and is just off the Long Island Expressway as well as near the Woodhaven subway stop. It was designed by Jack Brown, the LeFrak Organizations longtime chief architect.
