1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036
Office, Retail, Leasing/Rental

One Astor Plaza at 1515 Broadway, at the site of the former Astor Hotel in the bowtie of Times Square, is a 745-foot skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Completed in 1972, it was designed by Kahn & Jacobs architects. At the time of its completion it was known as the W.T. Grant Building. The tower also includes the Minskoff Theater on its third floor.

New York real estate investment trust SL Green acquired the skyscraper for $483.5 million in 2002. The building contains 1,750,000 usable square feet. The building is the corporate headquarters of Viacom and home to its MTV studios. Viacom leases a gargantuan 1.4 million square feet of space with plans to expand to 1.6 million square feet, or nearly the entire building.

SL Green began a $160 million renovation process in 2008. In 2011, the firm bought out its joint venture partner in the building, SITQ, for $1.21 billion.
